Materials Planning Team Leader

About the Role

Join our Planning & Logistics HUB in Barcelona and take the lead in shaping how materials planning drives service excellence. As Material Planning Team Leader, you will guide a team of Materials Planners, ensuring strong execution, continuous improvement and talent development, while staying close to day‑to‑day operations.

This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will combine people management, stakeholder collaboration and data‑driven decision‑making to secure materials availability at the right place, time and cost.

What You Will Do

  • Drive materials planning excellence: Apply and embed standard Materials Planning best practices defined by the PLEx team across the Hub.

  • Lead and develop people: Manage, coach and grow a team of Materials Planners, fostering accountability, engagement and high performance.

  • Ensure availability and performance: Safeguard material availability in the right location, quantity and timing to optimize customer service, working capital and cost.

  • Connect the ecosystem: Act as a key interface between the Hub Supply Planning teams and internal and external stakeholders.

  • Monitor and improve performance: Define, track and act on KPIs, root cause analysis and corrective actions.

  • Enable transformation: Play an active role in the Supply Planning Transformation roadmap, embracing digital tools and new ways of working.

  • Drive continuous improvement: Contribute to the Team Leaders network and PLEx initiatives, identifying and implementing improvement opportunities.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management or a related technical field.

  • 4+ years of experience in production planning, materials management, forecasting or inventory management.

  • Previous people management experience or a strong, proven capability to lead and develop others.

  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.

  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and manage multiple stakeholders.

  • Advanced user of MS Office; experience with SAP or other ERP/planning tools is a strong plus.

  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
